When creating this new website, it felt important to me to hold a space to amplify a variety of voices and spotlight people birthing inspiring work in the world! My hope is together we create our own mycelial network and community. Just like the root fibers of mushrooms connecting in the ground, we can connect and communicate throughout the world via the world wide web.
Today I’m excited to share with you the work of documentary photographer, Kim Nellans. I had the pleasure of connecting with Kim through my Mindfulness Training Institute Sangha, and we arranged a time for a nature portrait session during a hike along my favorite trail in Topanga Canyon, California.
My home page photo and the pic above are just a couple of the beautiful moments caught by Kim. The entire process of working with her was comfortable and easy. We were able to connect before the session and make a loose plan for our time together. The photographs reflect her ability to capture natural moments of intimacy and delight while connecting to the land. Kim’s grounded presence helped make the session seamless, pleasant and fun!
You can find out more about Kim’s work on her website, and learn how to book a nature portrait session for yourself. She can also be found on Instagram @indiatraveladventure.
