Exploring Somatic Developmental Trauma Practices

Many times when folks begin to explore meditation, they are surprised to find developmental trauma come up in their meditation experience.

This can show up as challenges feeling and accessing emotions, feeling trapped when closing the eyes to meditate or noticing repetitive thoughts that could be rooted in childhood or trauma-based experiences from across life.

Incorporating somatic body-based trauma therapies can be a supportive adjunct to support those who meditate and find this popping up as they practice meditation. It’s also highly helpful for those who don’t meditate and find they are blocked emotionally and relationally in their recovery.

Trauma work may be  beneficial for those recovering from CIRS who have experienced trauma in the process of diagnosis and treatment or who find past trauma resurfacing during the period of illness.

Rosalie Corame, a highly gifted and well-trained somatic-based transformational coach who works online, will be sharing in this session more about her background in:

  • Somatic Experiencing
  • Integral Somatic Psychology
  • Neuroaffective Relational Model
  • Shadow Work
  • Developmental Trauma and Emotional Embodiment
  • Global High Intensity Activation

Rosalie and I will be discussing the relationship between her work and mindfulness meditation, the benefits of these modalities working together and role-playing a coaching session so that you can understand what the work involves.  There will be time for Q and A. Read more about her work on her website .

For those who can’t make it live, the session will be recorded and sent to you later.

Prices are set on a sliding scale, pay what works for you.

A Zoom link will be sent to you the day before the session.
